Bravo Zulu House

We’re declaring war on PTSD

Bravo Zulu House is declaring war on Veteran PTSD. Veteran sobriety is the #1 barrier to successfully treating PTSD. The VA confirms that most PTSD sufferers abuse drugs and alcohol, so we created Bravo Zulu House here in Southern Minnesota. Bravo Zulu House is the first all-military sober home exclusively focused on the unique sober housing needs of our veterans.

Bravo Zulu House is partnering with Veteran Organizations – American Legion, VFW, and Disabled American Veterans (DAV) of Minnesota. Our Advisory Board Chairman, Jack Zimmerman, a Purple Heart recipient, helps ensure we are meeting and exceeding the needs of our veterans in every aspect of our planning and execution.

Bravo Zulu House is managed by the nation’s leading sober home provider: Trinity Sober Homes. Trinity provides a unique environment that results in 71% of residents remaining sober one year after treatment. That’s nearly 50% higher than other programs.

Founder-
Colonel Father Martin Fleming
(1926-2018)

Colonel Father Martin Fleming served 30 years in the US Army. Stationed all over the world, Father loved spending time with the troops, and regularly noted that despite a soldiers religious upbringing, “there are no Atheists in fox holes”. Upon his military retirement (1982), Father bought an old mansion in St Paul, and using his army pension, started the first “sober house” in St Paul, growing to 28 beds in 3 houses he called Bethany Village. Inspired by local market’s emerging need for more formal sober housing, he tapped Tim Murray to roll out a series of Catholic Sober Homes called Trinity Sober Homes. Father’s legacy of “Dress-Right. Feel-Right” he learned in the Army has been embedded into the DNA of Trinity and will be equally prominent at Bravo Zulu House, helping Father Fleming’s legacy of helping our troops live-on.
